Your data, in full transparency

Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and the rights you have, in plain language, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/LPD).

Last updated: July 2026

This English translation is provided for convenience. The French version is the only legally binding text.

This policy explains what personal data Soutien-Omni-Scolaire Sàrl (“SOS”, “we”) collects, how we use and protect it, and what your rights are. It is drawn up in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/LPD) and, where it applies, the GDPR.

The essentials at a glance

  • We collect only the data needed to provide the support.
  • We never sell your data to third parties.
  • Data about minor students is provided by their parents.
  • Access, correction or deletion possible at any time.
2

What data we collect

We collect only the data necessary for our services:

  • Contact data: first name, last name, telephone and/or e-mail, provided via the assessment request form or during direct contact.
  • Data about the student: school level, preferred centre or format, subject and nature of the need.
  • Account data: information created when registering on our portal or our mobile application.
  • Educational follow-up data: session reports, progress, communications sent to parents.
  • Browsing data: limited technical data related to visits to the website (see Cookies).
3

Purposes and legal bases

We process your data in order to:

  • Respond to your assessment request and get back to you (consent).
  • Provide and manage the tutoring services (performance of the contract).
  • Handle follow-up, administration, scheduling and invoicing (contract and legal obligations).
  • Improve our services and communicate with you (legitimate interest).
4

Data concerning minor students

Our services are aimed at students, who are often minors. A minor student’s data is provided and authorised by a parent or the legal representative, who remains our point of contact for any question concerning it. We limit this information to what is strictly necessary for the support provided.

5

Recipients and processors

Your data is accessible only to the members of the SOS team who need it. We use technical providers (website hosting, form processing service, management portal) acting as processors, on our instructions and subject to confidentiality. Some may host data outside Switzerland; where this is the case, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place.

No sale of data

We never sell your data and do not pass it on to third parties for commercial purposes.
6

Retention period

We keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes described, and then for the periods required by law. Accounting and business records are kept for ten years, in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations. Data from an assessment request that is not followed up is deleted once it is no longer useful.

7

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration (restricted access, secure connections, carefully selected providers).

8

Your rights

In accordance with the applicable law, you have the following rights:

  • Access: know what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Erasure and restriction: request the deletion or restriction of processing.
  • Objection and withdrawal of consent: at any time, without retroactive effect.
  • Portability: receive your data in a commonly used format.
