Support & centres

Which levels do you support?

SOS supports students from primary school to Secondary II: compulsory school (primary, Secondary I), then gymnase, écoles de culture générale and commercial tracks.

Where are your centres?

In Vevey (Passage Saint-Antoine 7, near the station), in Lausanne (Rue Saint-Martin 9, 2 minutes from the Bessières metro stop) and, from 1 September 2026, in Montreux (Avenue des Alpes 27B). Lessons are also available at home and online.

How lessons work

How do the lessons work?

It depends on the formula you choose: private lessons, semi-private lessons with two students, supervised study in small groups, at home or online. Every programme begins with a free educational assessment, and parents receive a report after each session.

Are parents kept informed about the lessons?

Yes, systematically: after every session, parents receive a report detailing what was worked on, the progress observed and the points to keep an eye on.

Do you offer lessons during the school holidays?

Yes, intensive courses run during the summer, autumn and spring holidays in our centres, at a pace of 20 hours per week.

Exams & preparation

Do you prepare students for the gymnase entrance exam?

Yes. A year-long programme (September to May) prepares students specifically for the Vaud gymnase entrance exam, with targeted exercises and mock exams. We also prepare for the ECR (Years 4, 6 and 8) and the Year 11 final exams.

Our teachers

Who are your teachers?

Teachers with a proven track record: every one of them passed highly demanding teaching exams before giving their first lesson at SOS, on top of an outstanding academic record and prior tutoring experience. Many teach or train at Switzerland’s leading institutions (UNIL, EPFL).

Pricing

How much do lessons cost?

Our prices are published in full transparency: supervised study from CHF 240.-/month with a commitment, private lessons from CHF 70.-/h, semi-private lessons from CHF 50.-/h per student, intensive courses from CHF 790.-/week. More advantageous hour packs are available; see the Pricing page.

Enrolment & organisation

How does enrolment work?

You request a free assessment (form, phone or WhatsApp). We discuss your child’s needs, carry out the assessment, then suggest a formula and a teacher. The first trial session lets you confirm the choice before committing.

How do I cancel or reschedule a lesson?

Any cancellation must be announced by e-mail at least 48 hours in advance; otherwise, the session is charged. The full conditions are set out in our terms and conditions (CGVU).

A question about cancellation or payment terms? The details are set out in our terms and conditions.
