The same amount from September 1 to June 30. The yearly cost is split into equal monthly payments: your budget never moves. We follow the Vaud school calendar, and your child gets a break during the holidays, just like at school.

The base is supervised study: the whole curriculum, every subject. The reinforcement is private-lesson hours on the one subject that blocks. The two teams talk to each other: you keep a single contact person and a single written report.

Our terms, with no small printCancellation, notice, unused hours, calendar
Cancelling a session. By e-mail, at least 48 hours ahead. Beyond that, the session is charged: the teacher was reserved for your child.
Unused pack hours. Lost at the end of the validity period (8 months for SÉRÉNITÉ, 6 to 15 weeks for DYNAMIQUE).
Stopping during the year. With the flexible formula: at any time, with 2 months’ written notice. The 2 months of notice are due.
Supervised-study calendar and monthly payments. Sessions take place in school weeks and follow the Vaud canton calendar; there are none during holidays and public holidays. The monthly amount is identical from September to June: the yearly cost is split into equal parts — it is not a per-session payment.
Price increases. The prices on this page are those of the 2026-2027 school year. A rate never changes mid-year for an enrolled family.
How much does a private tutor cost?Our price benchmarks, to compare knowingly
How much does a private tutor cost in the canton of Vaud? At SOS: CHF 70.– per hour one-to-one at the single-session rate (80.– at secondary II level), and hour packs that bring the price down to 48.40 per hour. The teacher is selected, tested before their first lesson and supervised, with a report after every session.
What does a répétiteur charge? Independent tutor listings start around twenty francs an hour, without selection or follow-up. At SOS, the supervised equivalent is the one-to-one lesson from 70.– per hour, or semi-private from 50.– per hour per student: the price includes teacher selection, supervision and the report.
