Our method

Everything revolves around your child

What makes a student progress isn’t piling up hours of lessons.

It’s an accurate diagnosis, the right teacher, and follow-up parents can read in black and white. The same method in our Vevey, Lausanne and Montreux centres, at home and online.

  • Free educational assessment
  • A report after every session
  • Continuously adjusted programme

01 · The method

From your first call to the student’s success

Six steps, always in the same order: understand first, propose next, follow through to the end.

  1. 1

    No obligation

The first conversation with the family

By phone, WhatsApp or our form, you describe the situation, the difficulties and what you expect. We listen before proposing anything. This conversation commits you to nothing.

  2. 2

    Free

    The educational assessment

We assess the student’s actual level, how they work, and their relationship with the subject. The assessment is there to understand, not to sell: we sometimes recommend fewer hours than expected.

  3. 3

    In full clarity

    The support proposal

Format (one-to-one, semi-private, supervised study, intensive course), pace, objectives and the exact price. You decide with all the facts in hand, and the first trial session lets you confirm.

  4. 4

    The right pairing

    Matching the teacher

We choose the teacher whose profile matches the student: subject, level, personality. Each has passed highly demanding teaching examinations. If the chemistry isn’t there, we change teachers.

  5. 5

    After every session

    The report to parents

After every lesson, you receive a report: concepts covered, progress observed, points to watch. You are never left in the dark, and you can judge on the evidence.

  6. 6

    Nothing is set in stone

    Continuous adjustment

The programme is reassessed regularly against school results and deadlines (tests, ECR, exams). We accelerate where things are solid, and reinforce where they aren’t.

02 · What sets us apart

Ordinary tutoring, and the SOS method

The difference doesn’t show in a brochure. It shows in what happens, session after session.

The heart of the system

Follow-up isn’t an option.
It’s our method.

It’s what ordinary tutoring most often lacks, and it’s precisely what we place at the centre: you always know what’s happening, session after session.

  • A report sent after every session
  • Objectives checked and results analysed
  • Online portal: the full history of the support
  • Regular check-ins with the family to adjust

04 · Your questions

Frequently asked questions: our method

How does support at SOS begin?

With a first conversation, free of any obligation, followed by a free educational assessment of the student’s actual level. Only then do we propose a format, a pace and an exact price.

Is the educational assessment really free and without obligation?

Yes. The assessment is there to understand the student’s situation, not to sell hours. We sometimes recommend fewer hours than expected, or a different format from the one initially imagined.

How do parents follow their child’s progress?

A report is sent after every session: concepts covered, progress made and points to watch. An online portal keeps the full history, and regular check-ins with the family are used to adjust the programme.

What happens if the student and the teacher don’t click?

We change teachers. The right student–teacher pairing is decisive: if the chemistry isn’t there, we assign a teacher whose profile is a better fit.

Is the method the same in every centre?

Yes: the same method and the same follow-up in Vevey, Lausanne and Montreux (from 1 September 2026), as well as at home and online. Only the location changes — never the standards.

The method starts with a free assessment

Understanding your child before proposing anything: that’s the first step, and it commits you to nothing.
